Ok. I have a 98 civic ex with 160,000 on it. car has a bad 02 sensor. about a month ago would start just fine then in first gear I would wind it out and at about 2500 RPM it would falter...almost stall then catch and be just fine for the rest of the day. it has gotten to the point where if it sits for 1 hour it does this now. No codes are thown other then the 02. I will be swapping that this weekend but the plan is to send it up to my kid in college in a couple of weeks...what sort of trouble shooting would anyone suggest? Car runs fine after this initial faltering issue. Thanks.

 

What specific OBDII O2 sensor code is thrown? Have you recently checked for additional codes?

When was the last ignition system tune up?
