The car went from looking like *** with the green crap, to looking pretty good, then to a bit of overkill. All in all, not a bad lookin car just too much carbon for my liking. But as stated before, if you like it keep at it man.

cheers yeah there is too many bad comments no one can see the hard work and money i have spent it is going through some changes and i will be updating it i know that it is not to everyones taste but i have biult it to how i like it and there is a bigg culture change to you guys in the states im in th eunited kingdom its diferent over here
i have new set of rear arches as my ones have a bit of rust rather than treating it id rather vut them out and start fresh and as its metalic paint i woulf have to blend the rear arches into the doors so u might aswel egt a whole coluer change so it is goign a dark grey metalic its goign to completly change the look i also have red dc2 recaros to fit hence the red door card inserts also some stickers will be removed im leaving the ones on the rear window i cant wait at the moment the bay is the only bit of the car that is finished the rest for me isnt finished until its all resprayed im just toying with ideas i want the clean look when its done but then again i want street racer style but i want ti to look like its a track car aswell

It's not about the culture difference. It's that you've rolled EVERY honda-tech "apc forum" stereotypical mod into one car. IMO it's trying too hard. People do this in America too.

If you put your car up in a public forum for opinion, then expect opinion that differ from your own. You're still gonna build the car for you, right? I've seen people completely change everything they wanted after flames, and IMO, being that much of a sheep is worse than anything. You like it, continue to do it in your style.

I am building a last gen Prelude with tons of stuff. One of the most extensive builds of a Prelude ever. People on a Prelude forum didn't agree with some of the things I wanted. Didn't stop me. Just makes me want to have a better Prelude than all of them, but with the modifications that I want, not what THEY think I should have.

Like I said, IMO, it's trying too hard to fit the h-t eg hatch archetype. You should take it as an observation, not me telling you what to do.

to me, it's not the fact that it's too much overkill. but the fact that you half-assed A LOT of things...the edges of the carbon fiber cut-outs are not clean at all. the hole vents that u drilled in the front bumper aren't straight at all. looks like u didnt even sand down the bay before painting it, & you painted over all the nuts, and bolts. you didn't even do something as simple as tucking that speaker wire completely under your fender. your muffler WAS angled downward, then when corrected, you cut the rear bumper. the rear lip is waaaay over cut to fit the muffler & it's a uneven cut too. when painting the swap motor/tranny, you painted EVERYTHING, even the mounts & dipstick!!! also, is ur front tow hook bolted-on to ur bumper skin? with all this going on, im scared to ask where the rear of the seat belt harness is mounted to. im sure there is more items that i haven't mention. i suggest you take some time into all the small & big details, especially when u put a lot of money into it. im not trying to put you or your car down, i just hate seeing such a good build go to waste.

when someone builds a car it's suppose to be an exact extension of the who they are and represents them as well and you wouldn't want to be known as some one who does a sloppy half-*** job.

in some ways i agree dude but in those picture as it is stated in the title prolect this is an ongoing project nothing is going to be completed untill it gets sprayed and the holes are now lines up and correct i dont care about the rear lip i have a brand new one that wil be going on once respray goes ahead after rear arches replaced front toe hook is bolted to a mount i made out of 2mm thick steel and drilled holes through bumper witch to be honest is annoying so it may be removed as i have to remove the toe hook before removing bumper ,as for carbon none of it is finished only the door pillers i have spent the time on ,,as for the bay it has been stripped and etched primerd before the final coluer applied and yes i did paint over (SOME NUTS ) not all all 90%of them are anodised as they looked gay and tired and i couldnt be arsed to find all new ones ,as for the earth cable by the wing i have had to change is several times so i have not fitted it back in the wing yet ,and as for the backbox it has allways been angled upwards and anyway i realy agree with all this critisism at the end of the day hence its a project it is not finished and i intend on doing all the little bits before it gets resprayed ,to be honest i dont care about critisism im not after all good comments helpfull advise would be good and opinions at no point in this thread have i mentiond the fact that it was finished so im a little pissed that you have added (HALF ASSED ) no one is going to stop me from keeping this going as i know what needs to be done before completion and i have a list of bits that need attention

weather its finished or not you need to just slow down and put a little more love into each thing you do. your 80% of the way there with the ideas and building it just gotta add finishing touches to make the car actually look nice.

I agree completely. To each is own and do your thing, but alot of things on the car just make it look.. tacky almost IMHO

im sorry but, you're talking to the trained eye, the muffler is angled downward, you can clearly tell from the first couple pictures, then again when it was re-angled you had to trim away some of the rear bumper to make it fit. even if you were gonna replace the rear lip, what did you do, cut without measuring. if you took the time to paint the engine bay, then why is there so much crazy imperfections?

i suggest you slow it down, pay MORE attention to EVERY detail, take your time. i never told you to stop doing what you're doing, just do it right.
