should I repair or dump my accord?
I have a piece of crap 1999 honda accord (sorry just angry).I have several codes coming up.Here ther are p0131 , p0401,p1457,p0720,p0740,p0730.I want to know your opinion ...should I keep the car or get something new(not honda ever again).
P0131 - Primary O2 Circuit low voltage
P0401 - EGR insufficient flow
P1457 - EVAP Control System leak detected
P0720 - Countershaft speed sensor circuit malfunction (Transmission)
P0730 - Problem in shift control system (Transmission)
P0740 - Problem in lock up control system (Transmission)
What is the Model & Year? I4 or V6 What is the maintenance record on this vehicle like? How does the engine/transmission act. I'm guessing from your obvious dislike for it, that it's not acting very good. Some more descriptions on how the car is running/acting would be helpful.
It could be that the engine control unit has gone south, has the car ever been flooded or in an accident? Did all of these codes just appear one day or has the check engine light been on before?

I just bought a 99 Accord V6 for my son, a second car for him after a 98 Avalon (wreaked). So far the 99 running very smooth, only some minor problems I posted around here. I used to be the first owner of a Dodge Caravan, after 11 years and 110,000 miles, donated to a charity. I was a second owner of an F-150 from my brother, manual trans, after 12 years and 78,000 miles and spent few thousand dollars on the trans, finally I gave up that truck to other guy for $700. Believe me, I always take very good care of my cars.
get the transmission looked at by a shop and see wat they suggest to fix it... they should give you a free look
