AC ISSUES IN RHD CONVERTED CIVIC BLOWS FULL ONLY
Hey, ok so a RHD converted civic with a EK9 climate control (big 3 dials like 99-00 civic's) air only work on FULL BLAST... IF you turn the ac system on a lower speed it turns off. What gives? Any insight would be nice because im tired of turning the system on and off...
gotcha... thanks dude... if i wanted to take that out would it be difficult to do it? I mean do i have to take out the whole heater box and everything to get to it or?
now i got a problem... popped open the glove box and i come to see this hell of a mess... wires exposed...

two are coming from the power transistor

holy ****, thats a fire hazard if ive ever seen one.. dont you just love finding things like that? get some butt connectors and fix thats jank fast.. at least wrap some etape on it.
and I mean hell, if I had a rhd I wouldnt care about ac

yeah i already did that... first thing that crossed my mind was the fire dept LOL... any help on what those should be connected too???
and yeah thats a hot mess half the wires arent connected.. I hate electical stuff, and that chart ron posted looks like its written in alien to me ><
It looks more complicated than it is. The red dot marks the power transistor. You can then follow the wires (lines) indicated by their colors to know where the transistor wires run to.
yeah me too... i have no idea where that should be connected too LOL... i saw the same thing on the haynes manual and i was like wtf... ****
ahh yeah i see, well assuming those wires are the correct colors it shouldnt be -that- bad.
Hmmm...the 96-98 Blower resistor has a 4P connector, but the wires don't match:

Unplug your transistor connector and post clear pictures of both the wire and pin sides of the connector.

as you see in the picture the green wire is connected to a green/black from harness the black is connceted to a ground on harness and the blue and red wire are just there not connected to anything... then there are those two wires the yellow/black and green/yellow/black wire from the harness not connected to anything either
alright update for u ron.... tried 2 new power resistors from a 99 civic ex and still doingt the same thing... used to wiring also to a 3p connector
You have a 99-00 heater control panel and what appears to be a 96-98 heater/blower unit. If you compare the circuit diagrams, you'll see that the 99-00 system has a blower motor high relay (see post #10) whereas the 96-98 system does not (see below). Maybe this relay, along with the 99-00 3-wire power transistor, is what's missing in your system and what's needed to make it work.
