Default AC ISSUES IN RHD CONVERTED CIVIC BLOWS FULL ONLY

Hey, ok so a RHD converted civic with a EK9 climate control (big 3 dials like 99-00 civic's) air only work on FULL BLAST... IF you turn the ac system on a lower speed it turns off. What gives? Any insight would be nice because im tired of turning the system on and off...

That's often caused by a bad power transistor.

gotcha... thanks dude... if i wanted to take that out would it be difficult to do it? I mean do i have to take out the whole heater box and everything to get to it or?

You can access it after removing the glove box.

ive lit up alot of wires back in the day doing stereo stuff and most of the time the casing just burns off and no harm done, but its nothing to leave to chance and yeah thats a hot mess half the wires arent connected.. I hate electical stuff, and that chart ron posted looks like its written in alien to me ><

It looks more complicated than it is. The red dot marks the power transistor. You can then follow the wires (lines) indicated by their colors to know where the transistor wires run to.

The power transistor should have a 3P connector with 3 wires. Is your connector 4P with an additional red wire?

Hmmm...the 96-98 Blower resistor has a 4P connector, but the wires don't match:

Unplug your transistor connector and post clear pictures of both the wire and pin sides of the connector.

as you see in the picture the green wire is connected to a green/black from harness the black is connceted to a ground on harness and the blue and red wire are just there not connected to anything... then there are those two wires the yellow/black and green/yellow/black wire from the harness not connected to anything either

You have a 99-00 heater control panel and what appears to be a 96-98 heater/blower unit. If you compare the circuit diagrams, you'll see that the 99-00 system has a blower motor high relay (see post #10) whereas the 96-98 system does not (see below). Maybe this relay, along with the 99-00 3-wire power transistor, is what's missing in your system and what's needed to make it work.
