I was wondering if it's possible to use an obd2 ls valve cover or b20 valve cover on my obd1 ls head. I want to paint my valve cover but would like to use the newer ls or b20 valve cover but want to know if anyone has done it before I go to the junkyard and waste my money. Thanks in advance

 

Yes it is, very common thing to do

 

obd1 and obd2 dont matter on valve covers. theres really nothing that actually changes on valve covers besides the design on the outside.

np, the obd2 ls valve cover is somewhat sought after so you may have a hard time finding one.

 

i find dc2's all the time at my local yard. 75% of the time the vc is gone so ill have to talk to the guy about grabing me one.

 

You need a dc4 valve cover, not dc2.
