Help: 2003 MDX rear wiper not working
Hi guys,
I need your help. I have a 2003 MDX that I love. I have done all the maintenance myself and the truck is running great but yesterday my rear wiper stopped working. I checked all the fuses and nothing seems to be wrong. I pulled the wiper motor out yesterday and ran power to it directly and it works just fine. I installed everything back again and tried it out and I heard a clicking noise - like a stuck relay - in the left rear passenger area under the panelling. Anyone have any experience with this?? I'm going to attempt to dismantle the rear passenger panelling (sounds like it is just in front of the 3rd row seating storage area). Weird that it could be a relay.
I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a LOT here. I need my wipers working ASAP.
Thank you in advance for the help.

There may be a relay internal to a Wiper Amp, I am speaking of front Amps, I have repaired several just by re-soldering a poor connection at the relay terminal on the circuit board, maybe you will get lucky and have the same issue.
Ultimetly, you should test for power at the motor connector, I will assume there is no power to the motor, hence backtrack to a relay or amp of some sort in the area that you are hearing the noise.

thanks Duane. That is what I'm hoping to do this coming weekend. I did test for power at the motor and there is no power. I'm going to have to trace back and dismantle the entire rear passenger area to get to the wiring harness.
