Default Pricing for Audio Equipment.

long story short:

Girlfriend's Ex bought her a sound system she's never used. From what I can tell it's a very nice system. So we're looking to sell it on craigslist and get what we can for it. Neither of us know anything about sound equipment, so I thought I'd get it appraised by someone who actively looks around for sound equipment.

Here's what she's got.

Kenwood KAC-8104D 1000-Watt Max Power Class D

and 2 Alpine 12" speakers. They're "Type-R" or something.

In a nice box, install was done by a shop so everything is very clean. All the goodies.

So what do you guys think we could sell it for? And any advice?

if the box is custom built to spec, you can bump it up to 225-250

I'm thinking with the wiring and everything she should be able to get around $300 for everything. Does that sound pretty fair?

My freind paid, 350 for 2 alpine type r 12's, custom box and 1000 watt amp, not sure on brand, but it was name brand.

So I think 300-400 would be right.
