B16 head,...which valve springs should i use? itr intake?
Im wanting to get a little extra power with my Ls/vtec. Heres a quick rundown of what i got going on as of now.
1991 Civic Hatch Standard.
B18B1 block (decked 0.002), crank, rods, oil pump, water pump, timing belt
B16 pistons (PR3 i believe, not JDM)
STR block guard
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
ACL rod and main bearings
OEM Honda piston rings, head gasket, rear main seal, oil pump seal, valve cover gasket
B16 head (stock, '99 Si)
AEM Tru-time cam gears
Non-OBD B16 intake manifold, fuel rail, etc
I/H/E
B17 GSR cable tranny
Exedy stage 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel
OBD1 converted with P28 chipped by Phearable.net
The motor's been in the car for 6 months and I've put close to 10K miles on it, as its my daily driver. Car runs great and pulls hard, but I'm thinking the top end could be better. Any suggestions for any OEM upgrades? I want to keep it reliable because it is my daily, and by budget doesn't allow for any vtec killer cams, lol. I've seen people move the intake dual valve springs to the exhaust side and use ITR intake dual valve springs. I'd like to do something like that and add ITR cams as well. Would this be a waste of time? Will I notice any performance gains? Im sure I will, but if im gonna be better off getting some expensive/awesome valve train parts, let me know. Any input will be greatly appreciated!
