Default Turbo d16 won't start?

I'm asking this to help a friend.

Story: My buddy had a Greddy Turbocharged d16z6 in his 91 CRX Si. The hood flew up and busted out the windshield, so while in search of a new shell he came across a good deal on a very nice DA shell. So (I know this is bizarre) he is swapping the turbo d16 over to this DA. He swapped over the p06 ecu and conversion harness, but kept the obd0 engine harness instead of swapping it over and just wired everything up.

(BTW for those who might think this would be a strait over swap like he had read during his research. Eh... not so much.)

The crx had an obd0-obd1 conversion harness, and an obd1 engine harness. Also had a GM 3 bar map sensor wired in and a tuned ECU.

When we got the motor into the Integra it would start but would not stay running. First we thought maybe its just because it was really low on gas, but then we put gas in it and it would do the same thing. So we looked towards this being due to the GM map being tuned into this ecu he is running and still only running the honda map probably being the cause to this. So we wired in the GM map and now it will not start at all, just keeps cranking. We couldn't find anything as far as wiring for a gm map to an obd0 harness, so I was wondering if someone could chime in and give us some input.

Please no bashing.. I know D16 + Integra is not the best math, but work with what you got, right?

Helped maybe?

Can you datalog from the ecu to see what is going on as far as map readings?

We checked that out. It says for b-series/k-series on the wiring but our problem is on the obd0 the wires are slightly different colors. We think we got it right but after we even put it back to how it was before we installed the 3 bar it still wouldn't start.

Who cares about wire color, look at what they do. Check continuity to find the ground and then test the others to find the +5v supply. Once you have that the one that's left is the signal wire. Then wire them to the appropriate spot on the MAP.

Any error codes now? What all did you modify on the wiring harness? Is #1 getting spark when it should? If no, is the coil getting power? (maybe some crossed white wires to the distributor if it isn't) DO you have good fuel pressure?

If none of that helps, specifically what all has changed from point a to point b?

If you have spark and fuel it should at least crank.

It does crank. It is getting spark and has a new coil as of 2 days ago. We did check again to make sure. It started up and idled the next day and then we hooked back up the 3 bar map and it ran somewhat better but still not to where it was before the motor was pulled.

Do you have between 40 - 45 psi of fuel pressure?
Was he running an after market fuel pump in the other car?
If you don't have the ability to read fuel pressure, put fresh plugs in it and run it a few minutes. Then check the plugs.
You probably have all the sensors plugged up correctly.
Hell man I'm running out of ideas if that is of no help. What system was the car tuned on?

Oh and has anything changed with the injector wiring... like adding or removing a resistor box?

Car was tuned on chrome. He thinks the ecu reset itself.
He has not pulled the fuel pump from the other car and bought it with the swap.
Have not checked fuel pressure yet but may do that.
The injectors had to be rewired, has 440 injectors I believe and they were wired into the obd0 system. Idk if they put in a resistor box or took one out.

I'll have him read this and give me some answers. lol
