When driving on the highway or up a hill, I think I smell burning coolant
So i have a 95 civic ex with the stock d16z6. Whenever i drive on the highway or up a big hill, i smell burnt coolant i think it is. Whenever i drive in the city on straight normal roads its fine. What could it be? Please help
Check in the rear view mirror.
Check for an exhaust leak and whether coolant may be leaking and dripping onto the hot exhaust pipe.

Coolant Leak:
Do you lose any coolant? How often do you need to top off the coolant in the reservoir or radiator?
White smoke (coolant burning):
From the rear view mirror, do you see smoke in your exhaust on the highway or while driving uphill? This might be especially visible at night in the headlights of a car driving behind you.
Exhaust least:
Crawl under the car and inspect the exhaust system.
