Default My EJ8 unemployed slow build lol

Well this is my fourth car in like a year and my wife had it with me putting money into a car and trading it so this one is under her name, so i figured i would do a build thread for this car. I got laid off and so i gotta be careful what i buy with my unemployment checks. So for now this will be a slow build lol, ill try and do something to the car to keep this thread alive lol.....

Now onto a lil history of the car, car was originally in Oklahoma and then it got traded to someone in dallas, tx, then my friend got it and started to part it out cuz he needed money, and then i got it from him. I got it with no ac, and thats a must here in texas so that was the first thing that i started to piece together so that my kids wouldnt sweat their *** off.

My plans for the car is to just have a nice clean daily with some baller parts (like everyone else lol), might do a swap later on down the line but dont feel like finding new b series ac parts lol

Yea I know what you mean, but the way I look at it is the more struggle you have to go through to build something exactly the way you want it will make it mean more in the end when you can say its done for the most part. It's never done totally lol.

Small update....

I was looking at my engine bay and was gonna start cleaning it up, but i decided to go ahead and paint my valve cover cuz it was that dirty black

im gonna redo it cuz i wanted it to have more flake and it didnt really come through like it has before on other cover ive done.

Also i needed a front bumper support so that i can install the front tow hook, and i found one on craigslist today for 20 bucks with the foam so i picked it up

Drilled the two bottom holes for the tow hook

Started to grind a square on the back but it got late so i had to stop lol

Ready to go on

A buddy of mine also wrecked his 2000 em1 and i got the si climate control and im in the process of getting center air vent, and heater core harness, blower box, complete heater core box to do the conversion

thats it for now

Update......

Got a package in the mail

My illest badge, imma try and make my car live up to that badge

picked this up from a ht member rubydc2 for a good price

My friend Josh aka redem1ftw aka justin beiber aka vanilla delight came over and we worked on my car and got him his much wanted wink mirror lmao

fixed the droopy tow hook

next step clean the under carriage make it look clean

we then decided to tackle my o2 sensor issue, i picked one up for 10 bucks, and my justin beiber made me an extension so that it could reach the o2 sensor socket in the back of the header

me trying to take off the o2 sensor plug/delete (wasnt hooked up) just a plug that was so tight after 1.5 hrs of tryin to take it off we gave up, gonna take it to my friends shop and put it on the lift to try again
