96 Accord- Slight jerking on cruise/deceleration?
I've had a 96 accord w/ 80k miles for about 3 weeks now. Really enjoying it so far, would enjoy it more if I could get a little kink worked out.
If I'm at 40ish, and I let off the gas completely, then press it ever so slightly (as if you wanted just a touch more power than straight coasting) there's a bit of a buck that I can feel, kinda back and forth motion, almost feels like a wheel's out of balance. I'm not sure if a cylinder is mis-firing, or what. No change in speedo or tach, and no new codes (yet LOL).
It hasn't happened right out of a cold start, usually takes an 30-45 mins of driving before I really notice it.
Also THINK I might be feeling it when cruising @ 60mph, but that would be new as of today, and may just be in my head since I'm really concentrating on how everything "feels".
If I put the car in D3, I don't feel the buck in the 40ish range under the same circumstances, so I'm hoping its not a tranny problem...
I just replaced the rear o2 sensor (for a code p0138), removed and cleaned the EGR (dirty, but didn't appear to be too horrible), installed a new valve cover gasket (oil in spark plug holes, which I cleaned out, and cleaned the spark plug wires as well), and replaced all spark plugs, with no change in the above mentioned problem.
Another note, although this might have been in my head as well, but it almost seemed like the bucking would go away when the CEL would come on, then come back when I reset the computer. Dunno if that means anything but thought I'd add it.
Next step will be to clean the MAF sensor, and take a look @ and possibly replace the PCV valve, but as far as I can tell, doing those 2 things may be the extent of what I'm able to do before I take it to a shop (and the cheap things that are worth replacing/cleaning on a trial and error basis)...
Any thoughts appreciated. It doesn't really seem like its anything dire, its just an annoyance at this point.

It sounds like a misfire that could be related to EGR. Shifting into D3 could change the load on the engine and change the time at which the EGR valve is commanded open.
I noticed this today on my accord as well...I have a cell for TDC sensor though that I havent gotten to yet...let me know what you figure out as well.
