Instrument Cluster Lights Problem - Please Help
99 Accord EX V6 4-Dr Auto
Sometimes they light up all, sometimes it's partially dark, like in the picture. What should I look it up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to remove the cluster out and take the bulbs out and replace them with the ones from Honda. Mine did that on my '94 Accord and I got the new ones in and TA DA!
Reason they work from time to time is when you're driving, the filament that broke would bounce around and connects itself to the other side which then carries current over to make the light works again.

Salvage yard is a great place to find those lights. I got some for 25 cents apiece at: http://www.picknpull.com/

Just a quicky, i just bought a 2000 accord ex, 4dr and none of my cluster lights work! but the park lights, and the rest of the lights do! any suggestions? sorry not trying to hijack your thread.
I'm having a similar problem with just the instrument cluster lights. They will go out and come back on again. Is this a relay or resistor going bad or are the lights bad?

Its the bulbs going bad, and all you have to do is pick up some bulbs from autozone the bulb number is 194 jus replace the bulbs and your good
I replaced the 5 bulbs that light up the instrument cluster. However, while driving the lights will still black out on occasion. A light tap to the dashboard will bring the lights back on. Any other suggestions as to the source of this problem? Thanks.
Check the contact points, it's losing contact to either the power or the ground side or the bulb is coming lose, but it's an easy fix
Thanks for the response - I will check the contacts and wires. However, just to clarify, my instrument cluster is the V6-EX which is not the same as the 4 cylinder. It is a circuit board made by Ford which does not have any replaceable parts. Honda tech said when it goes the whole board needs to be replaced.
I'm actually having the same prob with my gear shifter. i know it use to light up when i cut the lights on but now it doesnt...do i have to remove the center console just to replace the bulb?
Bob on those boards sometimes the soilderlines are bad, look them over really good if you find one broke jus resoilder it, all the lights in the cluster run off of the same loop
dlewis yes the center console around the shifter will have to come off to get to the light but I can't remember if there is one or two
