Default little more power for my everyday car

i have a 01 civic coupe ex want a little more power without doing a engine swap cuz its a everyday driver. What should I do?

You should Search or read the FAQs. Maybe even browse the forum a little.



It depends on how much you want to spend. NOS is relatively cheap compared to your other option, which is turbo.

Unless you just wanted to toss in a cam and the typical header, intake and exhaust. It won't give you a very big power increase, but it's a lot cheaper than turbo and will provide a little more "zip."

I think im going to buy the little **** for now intake chip stuff like that and then put a bigger cam in it. Im not really big on the nos yet

Performance chips are absolute garbage and a complete waste of money. Skip it.

Don't expect any performance gains from intake, header, and exhaust alone. The biggest difference you'll notice is in the amount of noise your car makes while driving it. When you get around to installing a cam, then you'll actually notice something.

yeah i guess so but like i said its not a car thats gonna be down the track all the time i think next yr once i get some money saved up i want to build a del sol all boosted single just cuz know one likes the single

use supreme fuel and try and keep your car as light as possible. remove donut tire, keep it clean etc. these tips dont exactly make your car faster, but it allows you to get the most from it without touching anything mechanical. oh and try and get some really lightweight rims. will increase stopping and acceleration.
