Default H23 into an eg, I have a missing chassis plug...damn

Ok, I didn't pull the harness off of the motor before the motor was pulled. Long story short I took the eg and my sol to a shop to have the swap done and have my mini me swap put in the sol, they told me 4 days and 400 bucks, I said effin sweet. A week later they said 600 and only the H23 swap would be done, I said FU and went and got my ****. I have reconnected everything to the motor and am ready to put it in the eg, but the plug for the CAS... I think that's what it's called, crank angle sensor, the thing that's on the bottom of the block at the crank, has the exact same plug as the injector harness, well it has no damn home. The eg is having none of it. Well I would go and look at the sol and see how it was wired up in it, but already sold the sol so that's out the window. Any ideas guys?

Ok, I think I found it. Does the CAS plug go into the ignition wiring? If so I'm golden...

Is this right?

its called a CKF sensor. EGs never had one, they were all OBD1. If you're running an OBD1 ECU it wont look for it.

I think that the thing I plugged it into is my O2 sensor harness actually... so what do I need to do about this? Can I drive it without it? I'm running a P14 ECU so OBD1...... right?

^Yes. CKF is for OBD2 only, I'm pretty sure. I'd doubt the Prelude would be an exception.

So that isn't a CKF plug.

I'm just saying the civic wont have plug for a CKF sensor, the engine may very well be out of an OBD2 prelude, I really don't know, the OP never said.

He said he's running a P14. That's OBD1, no?

The OBD1 versions are, they came in an OBD2 variant as well.

The CKF sensor? Like I said if you're running an OBD1 ECU, or JDM OBD2 ECU (which I would assume since the car is OBD1 and theres no reason to do otherwise then yes ignore it. You might want to figure out what you had it plugged into though and find out where that plug goes.

You could finish the swap and just read the CEL...

I'm just afraid to crank it up with things unplugged if it could cause a problem is all. It won't mess anything up?

^It's most likely just a plug for a sensor. The engine won't spontaneously cumbust if you turn the key with that unplugged.
