Default Tire size for 15x8 on an EF

Hey guys, I'm looking at some new wheels and I've had my eyes on a set of 15x8 with +20 offset. I'd like to go with the flush look and stretched tires, although I dont know what tire size to get that would allow me to run stock camber in the front. More camber in the back isnt a problem but as this is a drag car I'd like to keep as little camber in the front as possible. I know I'll have to roll the fenders as well. Can this be done with +20 offset? Thanks for the help!

There is NO size of street tire that can safely be mounted on 15x8 wheels for use on a '92-95 Civic. Wheels that wide would need at least 225 treadwidth tires, and I'm pretty sure that if you get 225/50-15 drag radials, they will rub big-time.

You're much better off getting 15x7 or narrower wheels. That way, you can get 195/50-15 street tires (or 205/50-15 if you go with drag radials).

Im not planning on running drag tires on these rims at all. I have other wheels for that. I dont really drive the car much and I want a stretched tire. The longest time I ever drive the car in a single trip is probably an hour total. I'd like to stick with a 50 series and I'm asking what tread width should I get to clear rolled fenders on my car with stock camber in the front.

Why? Because you want excessive stress and heat to develop in your sidewalls, because you want to have a significant possibility of tire failure as a result? You want to have a blowout or a tire pop the bead, and maybe your car runs off the road when it happens? Niiiice...

We don't allow posts about stretching tires on this forum because it IS unsafe.
