Steering Whine
Hey guys i have a 1997 LS and i've had this problem since I got the car but its progressively gotten worse. So when i turn the steering wheel sitting still or moving it makes a whining noise in the car but if your standing outside the car you cant hear it at all and its not the power steering pump. So i cant seem to figure out what it is but im guessing it could be this,53534-SR3-N52 DUST SEAL, TIE ROD and this 53534-ST0-013 DUST SEAL, TIE ROD. They are ripped on each side could this possibly cause the whine?
i would think if it was the ball joints... you would hear this from outside too...
My ball joints on my del sol were ALL ripped... and made a god awful screeching noise when turning... then i would grease them by just putting some shiatsu grease on my finger and rubbing it into the ball joint... or squeezing the tip into the torn hole.. and fill it...
I bet its something to do with the power steering.... is your fluid level full?

Yeah it's not the power steering outside of the car when I turn the wheels the pump sounds normal you can only hear it in the car and the ball
Joints are all good any other ideas?
