Default overheating problem

hi there, ok so i was driving my car tonight and everything was running fine, then when i got home me and my friends were just chilling outside and my car was running and i was blasting my music and after a bit i went inside the car and noticed the heat level was all the way up i heard the fans go on but no idea what caused the problem. i let the car sit for a bit and started it and it went straight to operating temperature and stayed there and i drove it for a bit and it still stayed there not moving up or down. ne help on what the problem is would be great.

Well start with filling it up to the radiator to the top. Then squeeze the top radiator line tell there is no more air coming out. Once you think u got it all out start the car let i warm up then start this all over again. That is how i did it with my car. How old is the car?

also check your radiator cap, if the pressure spring is broken then it will cause your car to overheat even if the fan kicks on because i had the same problem one time

^^ try that, its normally small things we over look that kick us in the rear. my guess would be either:
bad radiator cap
air in radiator

also a coolant flush wouldnt hurt at this point.
