Race Car Goes to Idle Condition
Background -
Y7 Block / Y8 VTEC Head
Stock P28 ECU
OBD1 Harness, Dizzy, TB
This is a dirt track race car. It has no gauges (other than a mechanical temp gauge) so no CEL.
For the first 4-5 laps, the car runs strong. Then, all of a sudden, the car will go to idle. It doesn't shut down, but it won't take throttle. After a minute or so, it will pick back up and run for another lap or two and then the same thing.
We have tried different intakes, TB, dizzy, fuel pumps, injectors, main fuel relay, fuel pressure regulator. Nothing has worked. Good fuel pressure. New fuel filter.
Any suggestions? (And yes, the air filter is clean)
