Never seen this when changing my oil
Hi people,
I drained my oil in my civic, and let drain for 4 hours, only cuz I had to leave for a short trip and figured it can only benefit draining . Then, after the 4 hour drain, I unscrewed the filter expecting the usual drip/slop during the unscrewing, and no drip/slop......upon inspecting the inside of the filter, there was absolutely NO oil left!
It had been unusually long period between change this time, I figured about since March (Bad me), and maybe the silicone anti drain seal/valve in most filters broke down?? Could that be the only explanation?
Thanks!

With the filter facing downwards, poke the silicone anti drain back valve to open it. Does more oil come out? If yes, the filter is fine and did it's job
