THESE WERE THE PROBLEMS:

the motor is being weird, when i start it up its fine until its fully warmed up. when it is fully warmed up my oil light flickers & motor dies if i dont give it gas.
i do have some what a leaking head gasket but its not that bad. and good oil level too.
=====and its a new oil pump too, maybe the sending unit ?
i jus finaly finished the swap and this is what its doing

BUT NOW I HAVE BIGGGGGGGGGGER PROBLEMS:

TODAY 9-10-2010
(ive only put 10 miles test driving the car for the past 3 months)
sounds like it knocking........why does it sound like this now and it didnt the first 10 miles?????? i didnt really floor it cause i wanted it to break in. Can this noise be something else????????

i bought this motor from a guy that bought this motor from someone else and he wasent even sure if it ran. but can anyone pass up a h22a4 for 500$?
any ideas>?

It sounds like your oil pump went and ur seizing the motor. Check your oil pressure.

 

Symptoms:
-oil light
-motor dies

Your actions:
-drive the car

Result:
-rod knock

I'm not trying to be a dick but are you surprised?

On a high note, you can avoid having to deal with getting a rehone on those Miffed up cylinder walls of yours if you just....Cop my Jdm h22 bare block....

my oil pump is new
good oil level
oil light only flickers when fully warmed then it dies.
when i do give it lil gas, the oil light fades away

Or it may be that the rod bearings inside the block may have been oversize which results in low oil pressure. Bearings will need to be the correct size to build up oil pressure.

OP, also, try changing your oil filter because it may be a bad one to cause a knock. I've used a new oil filter(bad one) before and the motor started knocking til we swapped it out for another new one.

 

are the balance shafts in there? if not properly removed, could cause massive oil pressure loss.

 

guess ill change the oil filter and yes my balance shafts are still there
