I believe my clutch is going bad. Can anyone confirm or tell me what is wrong. Thanks
Well lets see today going to work I wasn't able to shift at all when the rpms went over 3500. If I reved it to 4500 or anything above 4000 the shifter would just jam and if I tried to force it a little bit it would just grind. It did the same thing coming home. I have about a 15 minute commute. My clutch pedal feels like it is going to the floor a little easier than usual to. The car has about 170,000 miles on it and was running strong with very few problems up until this point. I bought the car with 165,000 on it. I have no idea how long its been since the clutch was changed or if it has ever been changed. 1998 Gsr if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help.
I dont know the proper procedure for it so that is the only thing holding me back on doing it. I have bled brakes many times but I have never done a clutch. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Check up under the dash board and see if the clutch master cylinder is leaking. It sounds more like a hydraulic issue at this point judging from your description.
if you have money i'd go with a exedy stage 1 and a flywheel. but if you can't afford a or have a light flywheel take the stock one to a machine shop to be resurfaced for 40 bucks
If it ends up being the clutch that was my plan but i am keeping the stock flywheel because i personally do not like light flywheels. the rpms drop to fast.
Just some info for those wondering what was wrong. Although I doubt anyone was. But any way there was quite a bit of air in the system so after I bled it that helped it a little bit but it was still pretty bad. Then my older brother drove it and he said the clutch was pretty much shot so I need to get one. Thanks to everyone for the help. Hopefully this will help someone else out with the same problem one day.
