60,350 Miles. Excellent cond. Love it so far!
Only pic so far I have...

I NEED an OEM spoiler for it for one. Maybe some RPF1s as well.
What are some of the things the 2003 has that maybe the 2000-2002 doesnt? Any tips/tricks/advice I need to know about this car?

Also don't try to find the limits of this car on the street and don't be afraid of the red line; in fact learn to love it but don't go over it! There is very little margin for error between the redline and where engine damage starts; grabbing 2nd gear from the top of 3rd when they meant to hit 4th is too common of a story and usually a very sad one. Watch your oil level like a hawk - check it every time you get gas and check both sides of the dipstick several times, it's easy to get false readings. I leave the dip stick sticking out of the car while I get gas then take a reading when I'm done to let the oil on the inside of the tube drip out.
Your S2000 will make all sorts of noises you aren't used to hearing, this is normal. It's still going to freak you out though and you'll want to read up at s2ki about all the noises you can expect and the ones that actually mean something.
If your shifting feels "notchy" or "crunchy" when going into gear try more revs - my transmission doesn't shift smooth until around 5k RPM but then it's a rifle bolt with the right timing. There is also lots of discussions and opinions on exactly what oil to run in your tranny. Learn the feel for the shifter, it doesn't need to be jammed into position but rather caressed there. Start out shifting with your finger tips to learn the right feel and timing (which is all dependent on RPM) and you'll learn how to get your car shifting smooth every time. For instance I can put the top of one finger against the post on my shifter level with the console and just push my finger forward to get the car into gear. It really does not take very much effort at all to get the car into gear when it's ready for it. Rev matching on downshifts in the S2000 is a total dream; if you don't already rev match learn.
The various countersunk shift ***** are regarded as the best feeling and cheapest mod you can do to your car; I personally run a Rick's Voodoo and it's amazing. The Modifry dash bracket, dash control interface, and shift beeper are almost required accessories, especially the shift beeper.
And lastly don't hit VTEC in the middle of a turn as the sudden increase in power can be extremely upsetting to the stability of the car!
All the stuff I wish I knew when I got my S2000.

One thing you should never do is to drive around with a friend while wearing gorilla costumes and throwing banana peels onto the road.....directly in front of a squad car. :sigh:...I'm an idiot.

I don't really agree with not hitting vtec mid turn. How would you prevent this on say....turn 7 at gingerman. No ill effects. Go rip it up. VTEC is a power increase...but it's not gonna achieve light speed right at cross over.
Just do it at a track.

You are new to your S, never take it to the limit on the streets, especially engaging VTEC in a turn in 1st gear. Very nice GPW btw.
Your 03 comes with a glass window soft top while 01-02 has a plastic window. But not too much of a difference in those years.

^So....what street is "turn 7 at gingerman" on? When i said "just do it at a track", I suppose you figured I meant something else?
What track do you need to be in 1st gear on? I've floored it and engaged VTEC around gates at autocrosses in 1st gear. The car doesn't make that much power. Relax.
It's good to be cautious. You shouldnt put yourself near the limit on the street anyway. VTEC or not, that's asking for trouble. However, hitting the VTEC engagement point probably won't be the deciding factor in a crash.

That sucks.
This isnt my first car or rodeo here. But I must say, this thing is a tricky bitch in the rain!

So.. How much did you pay? The reason I ask is I just bought the same car but with double the miles. Mine was $9.2 w/h-t.
60k miles would have been nice.

White is hard to beat. Best things I have done to mine include the short **** from Ricks, OEM red badges (awesome on white!) and EBD Red Stuff pads (and rotors) all around. I recently put on AP2 V2 rims as well which I like best of the different versions Honda made.
Make sure the change ALL the fluids (oil, clutch, brake, coolant, diff, tranny) and use good correct replacements.

Don't forget seat locks - search s2ki.com and you'll find the details.

Enjoy the car!!
