Default 99-00 Coupe Fog Light Questions

I recently just got fogs on my 00 coupe and I was trying to find out some information. I've seen that on some civics, the lens is yellow versus clear. Is this a mod that is done or did they come yellow standard from honda?.. I'm not sure if I could change the bulb since mine are clear not yellow but i was wondering because I think the yellow looks alot better.
Also has anyone been able to install an HID kit on their fogs lights before?

Thanks for any help and images you might have of your fog lights especially if your have a white civic like I do

you can buy a yellow film to place over your fog lights, i personally would keep them clear
some aftermarket companies do sell the fogs already yellow as well

yes you can put hids in the fog lights. it takes some custom wiring (kinda) nothing serious at all. i would keep them clear and if you want yellow you can just run 3k hids which are yellow.

If I keep them clear can I put yellow bulbs in them? Im thinking I might want to go yellow but if I can get yellow out of the clear by just changing bulbs... then i might do that.

Shop for Nokia Hyper Yellow bulbs 55W 2500K...make sure you match the bulb type. Yellow is better not just for the looks- it gives you better visibility in fog.

The Japanese foglights had yellow available. The US OE ones were all clear.

You can put yellow film on them or change the bulbs to yellow ones.

All '96-'00 Civics use the same bulb type.

This is what I hope my front end will look like soon after. Has anyone had any problems with the fit of these foglight housings, Im not sure if these are OEM or replica because someone gave me the whole front bumper with the housings already installed but I want the best fit possible of them...

Ive heard there is a spray that can make them yellow, or I can I guess tint them, what is the best proven why for that to be done to get the best yellow look?

Are they glass or plastic? I touched them and it did not seem to be glass

just a heads up:
I had the yellow glass but they easily cracked but idk how old they were. They were installed when I purchased the car. Im sure they were an ebay pair. Im working on installing these now....well once I have free time. They just came in today but I have a ton of work, proj's, and exams to focus on now.

I would order yellow bulbs and if that doesnt suffice you can always purchase a yellow film of some sort later.

I also heard that the PIAA yellow ones were pretty beastly. Might be worth looking into

Just about every recent Honda model uses H3 foglight bulbs. If you're not sure if your lights do (an aftermarket set could potentially use different bulbs), then remove the bulb to find out.

Most halogen bulbs say the part number on the base of the bulb, plus H3s are somewhat unique looking.
