I have a 1994 Honda Accord Lx.... Recently i was driving down the hightway and my D4 Light started Flashing and the check engine light turned on and my speedometer keeps like working then it will stop then again work then down again etc.... The car is still driving perfect but D4 Light Flashing.... Gears is changing good i mean i really dont now what to do!!! Please Help

do you know how to use the paper clip method to make the check engine light flash and give you the code? Theres a plug under the passenger side of the dash jump it out and the check engine light will flash a sequence of flashes and pauses. 99% of the time when your d4 light comes on and the cel comes on and your speedo drops to zero it's the vss or (vehicle speed sensor) I can give pics and the whole process how to fix your problem.

 

paper clip method? if you can can you tell me how you would do that so i can try it... and yes please send me pics so i can get that fix please that would be great... the light doesnt flash all the time... once i drive the car for a good while maybe 30 minutes it starts flashing....and when it does start to flash i would put it to d3 and d4 still flashes... but latley i havent drove the car that long scared of it messing up even worse so it hasnt done it...

 

Crazy, I have just had the exact same problem with the same car. Will try this out.

 

Now the car is jumpin gears man idk what to do with this freaking car....

 

When was the last time the ATF was chnaged??

 

Maybe your shift solenoids are f*cked?
