removing transmission
By looking at your garage I was able to deduce you might be referring to your 1997 Accord. I remove the front crossmember with radius rods attached and then drop the tranny.
oh right sorry i forgot to say its in a 97 accord, but now removing the crossmember involves taking the last engine mount off as its connected to this? so does this make sense just supporting the engine completly via a jack? thanks again
for just the trans. just need to take the splash shield to the right, take off the right radius rod, then the trans mount and thats it. of course all of the bell housing bolts and all, but leave the center brace member in there. its a total PITA to put back on.
When I took my transmission out to replace my clutch, we did all that, and left the motor chillin on a jack for the next two days or so...it's fine to to that, just don't let the motor fall...then it's a pain to replace all the parts it pulls with it.
