Splash Shield for the crank pulley? ....2000 accord 2.3l
Can anyone with a 98-'02 accord look through their Drivers side wheel well and tell me if if there is supposed to be some kind of splash shield on the inner fender, or something to cover and protect the crank pulley?
Specifically this is on a 2000 accord, EX, 2.3l
When I bought the car there was nothing covering the crank-pulley (see attachments). Im not sure if its supposed to be like this or not.... winter is coming and I cant see snow/etc as a good thing to get on the belt and accessories as the car is running.
I found an "engine cover" # HO1228116 ({#74111S84000) on rockauto...

which corresponds to the same part on majestic honda:

However, I'm not sure if this is what I need or not, its hard to tell from the illustration. Is a piece of the front splash shield supposed to come up and cover the crank pulley area that Im looking at? (did that part maybe break off on mine?)
