a half size, dual core radiator is what you need. if youre buying one new from an auto parts store, the part number is the same for all 92-00 civics, whether they are auto or 5spd (i ran around all day confirming this). there are plenty of good aftermarket radiators, which are aluminum, and usually dual/triple core, but really expensive if you are using this for your DD. if you are buying a used radiator, i would strongly suggest finding one thats known to be good from a 99-00 si, or a cheap, leak free aluminum one.

i found a dual core all-aluminum radiator for 130. Which was only 50 more than what any auto parts retailer wanted. realized it was overkill for a D motor and gave it to my bro for his EM1 project. mishimoto is a good brand, but expensive. you don't necessarily have to run an expensive radiator like that. what kind of motor do you have?

'99 - '00 Si and '94 - '97 Del Sol VTEC rads have larger water necks for larger B-series hoses, you can use a normal civic rad but you will need to use adjustable gear style hose clamps.

Correct, and this is what you want if going oem

This is "only" true for D series engines.....as mentioned above, the Si and Del Sol DOHC model rads are better...both dual core, and larger water necks to accomedate the b series rad hoses

they have a dual core that comes up in the listing, but it is discontinued. o'reily's, advance, napa, and carquest all have the same part number in my area. there's not even an auto/manual option anymore.

Well, when i look up the oem Honda rads for say a 2000 civic.....here is what they are

b series- 19010-P2T-A01

d series- 19010-P03-505

The difference in the water necks would be really annoying between the two!!

No doubt about it, B-series radiators have larger diameter water necks than D-series radiators.

Some say it's ok to use a D rad for a B motor, but I wouldn't do it.
