Default 99-00 civic Double Din trim ring help

I'm having troulbe installing the trim ring that comes with the crutchfield trim kit.
It wont fit correctly in the opening without bending at the top and bottom, has anyone had any experience installing one of these trim kits in this vehicle?

are you talking about it bowing out, or bending into the radio opening?? if you're talking about it bending, some kits require slight modification to fit. there should be "guide" that came with the kit, look up 99-00 civic, and it will tell you which tabs to cut off

appreciate it, I wasn't cutting off all the tabs on the trim ring. Make sure if you are installing the crutchfield trim ring you need to cut off all the tabs except for the ones specified, which is believe is "B" and "H" but double check on the instructions and it fits fine.

That's why I don't use the dash kits! they don't fit very well.
