Yeh, the weight of the car will hold them in their perch.
I used to have some cheap HPmotorsports coil-overs, and whenever the weight would be lifted off of the rear passenger tire, it would will around like you're seeing. Sometimes, it isn't in it's correct position all the weay down in it's perch when the weight of the car comes back down. Finally, you'll you hit a bump or something to knock it back into place. When it does go back in due to a bump or something, you'll hear the loudest POP you've ever heard your car make.
My car is completely gutted and the first time it happened I thought someone threw a huge rock at my car or something.. lol
It never heard anything, was just extremely annoying so I got some better springs. And I did learn the hardway that you DO NOT cut corners on your suspension, you will regret it every time you drive your car.
