On sunday night I came home parked the car in the driveway as usual, locked the sucker up and alarmed it, and gave it a kiss goodnight. I get woken up monday morning at 8:30, when I was planning to sleep all day because I had off for the holiday, and I walk out the door to find this ....





Lucky me, now I have a car with no wheels, and nothing spare sitting around...
at least i gained 4 new emergency car jacks!

Today I got the estimate from my insurance company, for $2418.96! I was pretty shocked to see such a nice figure. Minus my $500 deductible though, that leaves me with a grand total of $1918.96 to spend.

Now I'm contemplating what to get... Either goto acura and get new rims and waste all the money, or find some used ITR rims for alot cheaper, or get some slipstreams, or something inexpensive like that.... I dont know, but I want get something soon, and get the car rolling again.

The other thing I need to look into is some good wheel locks. What would you guys reccomend?

they left jacksstands, and only went for the wheels.

more professional people would leave nothing but 2 cinderblocks

i'd go and get the jackstands dusted for prints.

at least they were curtious enough to put it on jacks..they left mine on bricks.....i say find some used...get some rotas or aguzze sterns....and with the rest of the money...buy some good wheels locks...a good alarm...and a gun

I would think of this as a nice opportunity to invest in a sweet set of spoonies or Volk racing forged alloys!! Stock wheels are nice, but you can do better for that kindof $$

 

Yeah so maybe ill spend around $900 for new wheels and tires and locks, and then spend the rest on a motion detector with a death ray attached to it...

 

they will jus get stolen again....you know that right

 

i say for you new rims you get should have at least 2 wheel locks on each rim

 

I say get a set of some nice cheap Rotas. Then either pocket the rest or spend it on some "go" parts. money thieves

 

Where can I get some good wheel locks from? I havent looked into it yet, and i dont really know anything about it, before this car, no one had any reason to want to steal anything off of my cars.

And yes the civic in front was on JACKSTANDS that I put there b/c we were putting in new struts, which were finished that day. And boy was it a pain in the *** trying to back that civic out of the driveway around the wheel-less type r

 

The Rays (Volk) Lugs are wheel lock.

Edit: Oh yeah, there is no such thing as a wheel lock. Any of them can be defeated easily.
