I blew my old d16y7 up in my 99 civic and im getting ready to buy my buddies d16y8 for 300, but i just found an ls swap tranny motor and axels for 400 how hard would that be to swap into my civic and what other parts would i need to do so because if i can put an ls swap into my civic instead of a d16 for an extra hundred bucks, it sounds like a plan to me


any help would be appreciated

 

ur going to need the motor mounts, shift linkage that's it sorry for bad spelling

 

so the motor tranny axels shift linkage and mounts are all i need? what about wiring and ecu?

sorry for the questions im just trying to findout as much as possible

 

You broke a rule but I'll chime in anyways. Research b series into 96-00. If it's just the motor, transmission and axles then you still need a few more parts. You didn't specify what year ls so I wont give you any further information. Change thread title. Include year of car ls motor was pulled out of. Include full list of all items in swap. Include your budget.

 

ill be sure to change it tomorrow i found the ad on craigslist and it just said ls swap soo i have to wait and call them tomorrow then ill post it all up asap so i can get help
