Default building ls/vtec need help

i have a b18c1 longblock with a spun rod bearing, im running a b18b1 right now, i plan on building my ls/vtec this weekend, just curious on a few things, would i have to buy the full golden ls/vtec kit or could i just buy in seperate pieces at a parts store?
My other question is, since the gsr already has water pump, timing belt...etc they are interchangeable right... just trying to figure out if i will have to buy the ls/vtec kit or what, any help would be appreciated

Throw the ls crank, rods and whatever pistons your gunna run in the GSR block. Just be sure to remove the oil squirters and plug them with GE oil squirter plugs and you wont need a GE conversion kit.

I would also have the GSR blocks line bore checked by a machine shop since it did spin bearings. 99% of the time your fine but always safe to check.
