Default spoon caliper question

I currently have 16x7 +45 regamasters. From what I have been reading, I will need a 10mm space to run the calipers.

1. If I do run a spacer, will I need to run extended wheel studs? My car makes 500+ hp so I am concerned. I also do not want to get extended studs and have it look ridiculous with the studs sticking way out.

2. I need the monoblock calipers not the twin block calipers correct?

Thanks for you help. If I have any other questions I will post up.

You do not need spacers for 16x7 +45 Regas. That was my exact set-up a few months ago until I sold the calipers. You will need the twin block calipers. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is assuming you'd be putting them on the ITR in your sig.

yeah they are going on the ITR in my sig. That is great then. If I do not need extended studs then that puts less pressure on me.

Any reason why we use the twin block over mono block? JW

You can use the monoblock if you want, but it requires more work. They are in theory sturdier than the twinblock though, but for a street car that probably doesn't matter.

Ok it's great that I can use the regas with the spoon calipers.

My other question I'd I have a set of rotas as I use for my drag wheels. They are 15x7 +35 or +42 offset. I don't remember. Will both or either or offset work without spacers?

I remember seeing people using the stock usdm type-r wheels or the ctr wheels with spoon calipers. Some people ran 5mm spacers because they felt that the caliper was too close to the wheel.

I had to use 10mm spacers with my JDM ITR wheels when I had my Spoons. I think the minimum spacer you need is 8mm with JDM ITR wheels.

Just wondering why u wanna go with spoon calipers on your 500hp teg? over some willwood or brembos? Your not going to be gaining anything over stock calipers.

I dont like to run 17" wheels on my car with a big brake kit. They are way out of my price range. The extra stopping power from HP+ and caliipers should do it for me.

Plus I always wanted these calipers and now have the money. Going to be at IFO tulsa?
