Default braking going to the floor

ok first off i've searched and read a few threads but still have questions.

so, i have a 94 civic ex and earlier today i was sitting at a red light, and just felt like pushing the brakes all the way down. i've done it before and nothing happened but this time i heard like a snapping noise and they just went to the floor. managed to get it home though. what could be wrong with it.?
i just replaced my MC about 2 months ago and when i was driving it, it did seem like it still wanted to stop when pressed all the way down but obviously not a fast stop. didnt see any brake fluid (has steal braided lines also) but i will check again.
any ideas???

Check the section that goes to the rear brakes you might have a leak towards the rear .
