Default Swapping USDM F23A1 Auto with JDM?

I have searched and have not been able to find much on the topic and i assume its because the average person here uses a manual transmission. I have been looking for a replacement automatic for a 2001 Accord and i can source JDM ones relatively easy and cheap but i cannot find any swap information. I know the CRV's have issues and throw codes but i would like to see if this is a option for me or not?

Thank you!

Rob

If you have an F23 I would stick to the F & H series automatic transmissions. I have never heard of anyone swapping in a trans from a B20B CRV. There are 98-02 JDM F23 auto transmissions available. I would think that it would be much easier to swap one for one. Unless your looking for an automatic trans upgrade. If that is the case I would look into using maybe an F22 or H22 auto trans. But like you said most people drop the A/T for an M/T when looking for an upgrade.

Sorry to confuse you i was searching any USDM to JDM conversion and noticed in particular the CRV had problems when swapping to a JDM unit.

I am just curious if the JDM F23 Auto will throw a cell or have any swap problems for that matter?

Not that I am aware of. Only thing that might be different could be the VSS connection, and I'm pretty sure they are plug and play with the USDM units. So if that is the case you can swap over the one from your transmission.

Thank you very much i just didn't want to take a chance and have it not work out and be stuck with the JDM tranny.
