Default Helmet recommendation for Button Willow

Just signed up for the beginner's track event on Sept. 25th at Button Willow.

The requirements are Snell 2000-rated helmets or newer.. does anyone know where I can find one or what size to look for?

I read this FAQ here, http://www.racinghelmetguide.com/helmet-faq.html

But wanted some owner feedback.

Thanks

search Google for a shop near you that carries SA rated helmets. got here, try on a bunch and find what fits u best. then buy it there or on line. remember, different helmet companies cut their stuff different.

go try them on. trust me. just cause the size is right, the shape of the inside may not fit your head as well as another brand. this doesnt mean you have to buy a $1200 helmet. but buy what fits you correctly.

This cannot be stressed enough. You're in LA, there are lots of places that will carry helmets. Don't be a lazy POS about it.

Adam start closing some of these repetitious threads....
I cant stand seeing the following...
Post up ur...
What tires, wheels, oil, helmet, jockstrap do you all use.

I enjoy a good thread where something isnt covered but lately thats all we see is an incredible amount of nooob questions that a simple one word search would bring about endless threads of information.

I think the noobs are soo damn lazy and dont read...
Id rather read, read, read and read some more, and pick the brain of someone I know thats knowledgeable.
Than to start another mundane thread.

I really enjoy expounding my knowledge, and helping noobs but they also have to be taught to fish.
Is this where we start up again and bring up the mentoring thing?
I volunteer! I may not know everything but i have a good group of racers i know ,and an idea of where to find the resources..
