Default Having trouble finding rear ITR struts

I recently got a 01' Integra GS-R with OEM ITR suspension.
One of my rear struts is blown so I decided to replace both rear struts. I just want OEM replacement struts because the car is a daily driver, I am not planning on racing it.

I went to PepBoys and said that I have an ITR to make sure I get the right struts. However, they still gave me the wrong ones. They gave me the rear struts for the non-Type R suspension. I told them that they are giving me the wrong ones, and they showed me that in their computer GS-R and Type R rear struts are the same part number.

Then I went to Advance Auto Parts and asked them. They also had the same part number for the rear GS-R and Type R struts.

Now I am really confused because the struts and the LCAs are obviously different. Has anyone else had this problem and where can I get some replacement struts?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes, I was aware of that. But $320 + shipping for two struts vs $120 for two struts (if it is possible to get OEM replacement struts) is a big difference.

OR am I wrong.... and do OEM replacements not even exist?

I have no idea on pricing (you can easily look that up for yourself), but Tirerack has some options that will fit properly.

Thanks for the help everyone,

Looks like I'll just get Blisteins from Tirerack. It is a bit pricey at $130 a piece... but I think I'll be glad in the longrun that I did it right.

Yes, they exist, and they cost $160 each from Delray, as noted above.

They also exist for the GS-R; the part number is 52611-ST7-A01 and they're $100 each from Delray. Different part number, different shock. They're probably valved differently.

When you buy aftermarket shocks, they are the same shock for either car, the GS-R or the ITR.

I have Bilsteins and I'm happy with them. I just had the rears put in this past spring. I got them from Tire Rack, which was the second best price I found. (I had tried ordering them from the place with the better price, but they told me they couldn't get them.)

You want the Bilstein Sport shocks (NOT their Heavy Duty shocks). Bilstein part number is F4-BE5-2341-H1 for the rears, F4-BE5-2340-H0 for the fronts.

I just remove my stock itr suspension a couple weeks ago and replace it with koni & gc. Remove when only 18000 on the clock. Really good condition no leak nothing what so ever. 250 shipped. this include 4 itr springs and 4 shocks. Let me know if your interested. I could take pictures too.

Tokico Illumina's are like $120/piece. Those would work well with OEM suspension and are adjustable, as well.

There are always Koni yellows, too.

I don't understand the problem--obviously GSR and ITR rear shocks (they are shocks, not struts BTW) are different. Just search online for rear ITR shocks.
