Hey everyone, I own a 2002 Acura Rsx and I have been having a slight problem with my car. Lately the SRS airbag light has come on and stays on while I drive. Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so what caused it? Also does this mean my airbags will not deploy if I get into an accident?

 

Do you have any aftermarket seats or a steering wheel?

 

is there a sensor in the latch?

Nope, no aftermarket seats or steering wheel. I have the stock black seats with airbags in them. Although, when I first bought the car the side airbag light would turn on and turn back off as I drive from time to time (and still does). Could this be a problem with my OPDS?

 

it will do that if someone leans too close to the airbag on the pass side. if yer seat belt latches get wet it can cause what happens in your original thread.

 

Okay, but the side airbag light will turn on even when there is no one sitting in the passenger seat? Does anyone know how to get the SRS light to turn off? Thank you everyone for your help by the way!!
