Hi,

i need help in diagnosing a problem. There is a low pitch noise coming from the front engine compartment of my car on take-off, i.e. when i hold the clutch in at it's "softspot".....the problem has been there ever since i bought the car, but now seems to be getting worst.....when i drive the car at normal speed it's fine, but on take off from rest it's a problem. I'm not sure if it's an engine or gearbox mounting problem as the car as been in an accident before....Could someone assist kindly. Thanks.

 

sounds like halfshaft or axle. see if the boot is ripd...get under and inspect the goods first

 

hahaha... when i read the title, i thought, "hmmm... combustion?" lol....j/k. you might want to crack it open before it bocomes a bigger problem than just noise.

 

where do i locate the part?
