Power antenna wire color codes........
Ok, I bought a Hirschmann power antenna off ebay and I want to tap into the OEM wiring. There's a red, white and ground off the Hirschmann and off the OEM Honda there's yellow w/ white stripe, white w/ yellow stripe and black. Of course the blacks are ground so those get connected to each other. What are the yellow/white and white/yellow wires for??
I'd like to know which is which. The red from the Hirschmann has a fuse holder on it and the white one is.......just plain. Anyone know?
don't that thing have instructions?
here's what I am thinking... the wire with the fuse takes 12V and the white wire is a remote turn on wire.
test the OEM wires to see which ones throw 12V when the radio is switched on. connect accordingly.

Yes, it does..but it doesn't go into much detail because the assembly fits over 50 cars.
