CRX swap but won't start
The car is an 88 CRX ita racecar. Very nicely built car but there are some non standard stuff. Installing a DOHC ZC engine. I finally got the engine installed but it won't start.
The company who sold us the engine cut the wiring harness and I was forced to use the original D16a6 harness. The problem was the distributor wiring is completely different. So a friend pulled the leads out of the distributor plugs and plugged them back in matching wires.
I noticed there are two all white wires on the distributor. Are they interchangeable?
The company also shipped the engine laying on its back, so the throttle position sensor was cracked. I swapped the two throttle bodies because they look identical.
ECU is some JDM ecu that was probably not legal for this car. Also has a hondata s200.
Fuel pressure is 38 psi.
I have shot starter fluid in the intake, but still nothing.
Any ideas?

the 2 white wires are not interchangeable - one is for the igniter and the other is for the crank sensor - if you look real close, you can see that one white wire is a little thicker than the other one - the thicker wire is for the igniter - you need to match them correctly when you pulled the wires from the Si harness connector, you should have had 2 wires which didn't match anything on the distributor - one blue with yellow stripe and one blue with green stripe - these are the wires for the cylinder sensor on the end of the exhaust camshaft on the OBD0 DOHC ZC - extend them to reach the sensor and connect them matching color for color on both sides of the green connector
the D16A6 and DOHC ZC throttle bodies are identical
spark plug wire locations are not the same on the D16A6 and the DOHC ZC - the ZC has #1 spark plug wire at the top, #3 toward radiator, #4 at bottom and #2 toward firewall
the correct ECU for the 88-91 JDM DOHC ZC is 37820-PM7-A## - the 88-91 Si PM6 ECU will work but has a lower rev limiter - the higher rev limit on the PM7 is better
