P0341 Camshaft Position Center, em2
Hi all.
I have a em2 2003 with 120k miles. I changed timing belt 2 months ago.
But I am having a problem, when I am in traffic,I think this is when car is more hot.. The car turn off, I can turn on but there is the check engine light on.. and after some miles it turn off... but this has happened 3 times..
I toke the car to the dealer and there is P0341 error code, Camshaft position sensor. He wants 320$ to fix this(the dealer wants to replace 2 sensors) but I am not pretty sure is the problem is the sensor cause I get this problem after they changed timing belt..
I would like to verify if the problem is really the sensor or maybe I have to adjust this.
Or maybe the timing belt align? how can I check if the belt time is align?
Where is the camshaft position sensor?

If you look on the right side of the valve cover there is a black plastic shield that covers the cam. There is a rubber grommet on the side of this with wire coming out. Pull off the rubber grommet and you have access to the cam sensor, it just pulls off. Easy job.
I was wondering if I need some special key to adjust the nuts with the correct forze(torque) or can I use any ordinary key??
BTW I get the P0341 error sometimes.camshaft position sensor.
Thanks

The 4 bolts that hold the side cover on are 10mm I think. Havent replace the sensor itself, but I can tell you that it is fairly easy to get to (when I did my valve adjustment, had to unplug it).
