Im new to the scene because i just got my first honda. I have a few buddies that know a little bit about things. I have an 01 civic ex. Im trying to find information on the different motor swaps i can do. Ive heard b16 and ive heard k20. However i have no idea what these motors are out of. Can anyone list motor swaps and what they are out of. Im just trying to lelarn a little. Thank you

 

Look up honda k engines on wiki.

 

You can swap in d,b,h,f, or k engines from honda. Heck a lot more can even bee made to fit its more a matter of what you want and how much money/time you have to waste. Everyone has there own opinions about which way to go about it. Read some forums get some formed ideas and thoughts then ask more specific questions to find better answers.

 

What are the different series motors out of?

 

Honda made lots of models with different engines and engine variants, read wikipedia or something for more info.
But in general:
d-series are from civics
b-series from integras & crv's
h-series from preludes and accords
f-series from accords
k-series from civic's,csx,rsx, crv, & tsx post 2003

This is a generalization and by no means complete look up for more info.

 

Since I have "the worst civic", an 01 civic ex. What would be a badass swap to do?
