LCA bolt! Any way to take it out without breaking it?

I'm about to change the shocks in my 96 Integra. I've broken an LCA bolt in the past where the shock bolts to the LCA. Are there any steps I can take to reduce the chances of breaking the bolt? I tried to loosen them a bit already with no luck. I don't have air tools this time like I did before.

Soak it in pb blaster or something along those lines. I prefer to not use air tools as well. It tends to make it alot easier to snap the bolts.

Well I'm glad I coated both bolts in anti-seize last time I changed my shocks. I got the driver's side out after a little struggle w/the bushing. It did not want to let that bolt out the other side. Passenger side isn't seized, but the bushing is just as merciless as the other side.

clean out the bushing sleeves with a brush and use some antiseize on the whole shank of the bolt

It was a bitch getting the LCA bolt out since the bushing was twisting with the bolt - it wasn't spinning, but it would twist with each turn of my wrench so it took forever to get it out. I ended up having to "unscrew" the bolt through bushing - I couldn't hammer it out.

Wonder if there's a way to clamp the bushing down to keep it from twisting when you're loosening the bolt.
