Icon6 Removing instrument cluster on 2005 Si

My gas gauge on my Si has failed, and the dealer says the sender is OK -- thus the gauge (rather the cluster) needs to be replaced. I was shocked at the dealer price and found a used cluster with the right mileage on the Web. Now the problem is getting the old one off.

I have searched all the forums I could find on the Web, and all refer to the "Philips screw at the top of the bezel". On my car, I can find no such screws! All the relevant posts go on to tell me "After unscrewing, pull the bezel HARD to remove it from clips and glue". OK, but lacking something to unscrew, do I just yank the thing out? I'm reluctant to do that if there is in fact a screw there!

In the Corps, the solution was "Don't force it, gt a bigger hammer" but I don't think that applies here.

Thanks for any help.

If it is anything like the em2, the 2 screws at the top are on the bottom side of the overhang above the cluster. Look at the bottom photo in the first image, the screws are up in those holes: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/diy-01-02-civic-manual-cluster-03-05-cluster-swap-2204667/

Start at the top and carefully pull the bezel out. It just snaps out. This will expose the screws.

ok just pull the plastic in front of the cluster its like round just slide it out then you'll see the screws and then just unscrew it and from there you can just figure it out its easy job bro

check out the DIY on ephatch.com.
as for mileage thing, when you plug your new cluster, your old mileage will be displayed since our clusters are digital...

hm..., not sure, sorry bro... all I know is who sold me the cluster claimed that's what had happened to him, so I bought it and when plugged, same thing happened. I wish I could have used z3 ecu, but I heard it won't work with z3/a3 swap so I ended up staying with kpro'ed a3 ecu. Maybe if I gotten a2 ecu, would that read a2's mileage??? It should, but not sure though... idk
