Default Need Advice on determining selling price

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here obv, but you guys seem to be the friendliest, most knowledgable group I've found for the advice I'm seeking.

I've recently been tasked with selling my brother's ITR (he lives out of the country now) but I have no idea what to price it for or what fair market value for it is.

It is a mint 2000 Phoenix Yellow ITR. My brother is the original and sole owner. Everything is stock, except for the headlights, which my brother replaced soon after he bought it; I still have the original headlights which can easily be re-installed. When I say mint, it really is MINT. There is less than 7500 kms (4700 miles). It was barely driven and has been stored for the past 5-6 years. It still has the "new car" smell when you sit inside it. There are no dents, scratches, nicks, or anything on it. The only thing it needs are new tires and a tune up.

If you were me, how much would you sell it for?

I have browsed the For Sale threads here, but many of the cars listed have been modded, or have been salvaged/repaired or have high mileage etc. so it's difficult for me to get an apples to apples comparison. Also, I do live in Canada, so I know that may affect things, but I'm just trying to get a general idea.

Thanks in advance for your help.

either the PM the VIN to Doespike or just look on the armrest. there will be a badge that says "INTEGRA TYPE R" and underneath that it says "ACURA 00-xxxx". the "xxxx" is the badge number.

18-22k, but make sure you swap those headlights, it's really easy and is a big deal to buyers to have a 100% stock car.

I personally wouldn't take less than $19,000 if I had one w/ 4,700 miles on it.

I wouldn't take any less than $20K for it but I would shoot for $22K.

the cars so epic that it wont even let me kbb it

yeah id go for 20k or higher depending on condition i mean its hard to put a value on a car that you cant see. even a small scratch will lower the value significantly

Interested in your brother's Type R.

I live in Vancouver and I have been looking for a low mileage example for awhile now.

Yes, definitely. Pics please and badge #. I'm also in Ontario and have also been shopping around for a Phoenix Yellow R but not a low mileage one. This car sounds awesome but it needs to go to an owner that won't modify or put km's on it. Not really the application I'm looking for. Sounds like a fantastic deal though!

Thanks for everyone's advice! I think a fair asking price to start will be $20K.

To everyone asking for pics, I won't be able to take them and post them till this weekend at the earliest. I did find out the badge number; it's 00-1080.

To those who are *seriously* interested in buying, please email me at standev75 [atsign] gmail.

I'd prefer to sell someone more local as it's easier for me, but if you think logistically it's workable, feel free to email me at the address I posted above.
