Will this whee/tire combo work?
I have 16x7 Rota N1R's and i need new tires. I want to go with Azenis because of the price and most people i have talked to who have them really seem to like them.
My only concern is that they will rub. I have a 2 inch drop on my car using H&R springs. Right now my fender just meets with the very top of my tire and the tires are 205-40-16's. The Azenis only come in a 205-55-16. Do you guys/gals think it will work?

there will be over a 7 inch difference in the rolling circumfrence in your tires. this will cause your final drive ratio to change some and cause your speedo and tach to be off slightly. It might already be off now if you did not get them readjusted after putting aftermarket rims on. Here is the equasion to figure out rolling circumfrence of a wheel/tire combo. width + profile of tire + rim size + profile of tire = N N x pi (3.14)= RC so your old rollers would be 205 (8.2in)+ 3.28in+16=3.28= 30.76in. x 3.14= 96.59in rolling circumfrence. your new ones will be 8.2+ 4.51 + 4.51 + 16= 33.22 x 3.14 = 104.31. a difference of 7.72 in.
under an inch of RC change is acceptable if I were you I would find a tire with the same measurements as your current ones. it might not rub though. In the summer I run 205 40 17's on my rex and dont have any problems (with a 2 inch drop also).
