Icon2 1994 Honda Accord EX Rear Coolant Hose Leak

Techs,

One of my Hose at the rear side of the Motor is leaking but it leaks randomly, I mean I have to pour the coolant once in a weak not every day.

My question is which hose could it be, upper, lower radiator, heater core and couple of by pass hoses on the front are fine but I am not exactly sure which it could be can any one please advise or if some one can oint how many hoses are there at the rear end of Motor so that I can find the culprit one.

Any input or help greatly appreciated.

FS

You should put your eyeballs near the hoses. I have a feeling you'll find the one that isn't dry.

Normally I would agree, but just recently my wifes Mazda had a mystery leak. I ended up warming the car up til the fans came on. Using a leather glove I poked at a few of the cooling lines. Sure enough one of the 10mm hoses would only spew coolant if tweaked a certain way. What was strange is that it was not wet, due to its location it did not show any dampness. Those little bypass hoses can be a right bitch at times.

It's funny you guys mention intermittent hose leaks. I remember one time, though this wasn't intermittent, seeing what appeared to be a spider web strung across the customers engine. It turned out to be a very fine and perfect stream of coolant shooting acroos the engine. It even swayed in the breeze. It was actually pretty cool.

There are two hoses behind the engine. One goes from under the distributor to the heater valve and the other goes from the heater core to the cylinder head. There is a metal pipe that goes from the Tstat assembly to the back of the water pump.
