Previous owner of my prelude broke the transmission (5 spd) and swapped in an Accord transmission (94). I'm going to be replacing the ball joints and tie rod ends and was going to put new axles in while I had everything apart. Is there any difference in the length or spline count between accord and prelude axles? If prelude axles are compatible with an accord transmission I'd like to use them because I assume they're designed to withstand higher torque from the H22.

The difference is the half shaft from accord to prelude. The prelude has a male shaft the accord has a female type shaft. Also depending what model accord it may just have the long axle on the drivers side with no half shaft. The previous owner possibly just swapped the trans and kept the prelude axles and half shaft which is fine.

 

I would switch back to an H22 transmission if you care at all about performance (unless you're boosted).
